My son was 6 and 7 on the trips and enjoyed brining some dolls and art supplies for the evening. You can look out and see the animals from many tents and you cannot beat the ambiance. The tents are very spacious, have many gorgeous details and the beds are so comfortable. Sure, no AC or TV but thats not what you are there for. The "tents" are quite luxurious in my opinion. This year my mom came and she said it was one of the most awesome experiences. We live in the bay area and I am a solo mom, so this is a perfect trip for us. The park, one of only six accredited private zoological facilities in the United States, combines wild animal care with vacation lodging. The park is also home to species that are extinct in the wild.
